Atal
Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog has been conducting the ATL Tinkering
Innovation Marathon 2019 where the ATL students across the country submitted
their innovative ideas in various focus categories. Atal Tinkering Labs is a
unique experimentation conducted by NITI-Aayog to inculcate the spirit of
exploration, curiosity and innovation in school children especially those in
Govt. schools. After 2 rounds of evaluation, Top 72 teams were selected to
collaborate with different Atal Incubation Centres (AICs) via the Student
Innovator Program 3.0.
Atal Incubation Centre – Sri Krishnadevaraya University (AIC-SKU),
Anantapuramu has been assigned to support Four student teams (each team
comprising of 3 students and 1 teacher) to upgrade their innovations to a
marketable product with a robust business plan. AIC-SKU will support and mentor
the student innovators through a 10-week Virtual Student Innovator Program 3.0
(SIP 3.0). This virtual program consists of 09 weeks online mentoring and 01
week residential boot camp at AIC-SKU. AIC-SKU will connect students to the
relevant industry/academia networks to support with necessary prototyping
support required to enhance the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the student
teams’ innovation to at least TRL-5.
Two teams from AP State Social Welfare Schools/Jr. Colleges from
Maluguru, Anantapur – Puthalapadu, Anantapur – Vatluru, one team from West
Godavari and one team from Chimakurthy, Prakasam dist are selected. On 2nd
September, a curtain raiser event was conducted in which all the teams have participated
to discuss road map for SIP 3.0. Prof. K. Nagabhushan Raju, Executive Director
of AIC-SKU congratulated and motivated the teams. He also assured them all the
necessary support from AIC-SKU.
